Another reason velvet is so popular in the contract market are the acoustic characteristics. For this reason velvet is the perfect choice for curtains and upholstery fabric in public buildings, like theatres or restaurants.
The fabric can be made up in any curtain style, from the classic 2 or 3-pleat to a modern decoration with metal rings and a curtain poll. The best result, also most durable, is achieved when the velvet curtains are lined.
Moreover, we can give our velvets anti-static or a dust and stain repellent finish to also extend the life span of our fabric. And for contract use we can supply FR-velvets that meet all requirements.
Several of our velvet qualities are ”dual purpose” meaning both suitable for curtains and for upholstery.
